Your Cake Smash & Splash session will take place in my boutique garden photography studio based in Aldershot, Hampshire - conveniently located right on the Surrey/Hampshire and Berkshire border and only a short drive from Guildford, Basingstoke and Reading.
Upon booking of your session, we will schedule in a pre-consultation to discuss your wishes for theme and overall style. It is very important to me that each and every session is unique and styled to my clients individual taste.

When is the best time for a Newborn Photoshoot?Newborn photography sessions are typically best done within the first 4 weeks after the birth at my studio in Aldershot, Hampshire but can be scheduled all the way up to 8 weeks.

Where do Newborn Sessions take place?I have a spacious purpose-built cabin in my garden, which is where all of my newborn sessions take place - so you will not have to worry about going into a photographers home or spare room for your photoshoot. I have a professional high-end setup with expert lighting equipment, hundreds of adorable newborn outfits, bespoke props and everything you could possibly need or want for a newborn photoshoot. My photography studio is located in Aldershot, right on the Surrey/Hampshire border (GU11).

Do you offer in-home sessions?I am a studio photographer, so this is where all of my sessions take place. My studio allows me access to all of my beautiful props and gives the most consistency in terms of lighting and composition and most importantly, the most stunning images for my clients to cherish forever. Also, you will not have to worry about cleaning your home or trying to organise after having your baby (as I know that can be super overwhelming and stressful!).

How long will my newborn session last?To keep things simple, I offer two all-inclusive newborn packages. My most popular is the "Shooting Star" package, which gives us up to 2 hours in the studio. I also offer a shorter, mini session - the "Tiny Treasure" package which gives us up to 1 hour in the studio.

When is it best to book a newborn session?I highly recommend booking your newborn session right after your 20 week scan to ensure availability. You are also welcome to book before if this suits you! I always try and accommodate any last minute bookings if my calendar allows it – I never want anyone to miss out!

I just gave birth and I’ve decided that I want to book a newborn photo shoot. Is it too late to reserve?Even though I’m usually booked a few months in advance with sessions, there might be some openings in my calendar where I can schedule your photo shoot. Feel free to contact me as soon as you can so that we can figure out a date for your session.

Are family and sibling portraits included?Family and sibling portraits are included in the Shooting Star package. I always encourage parents to take pictures with their baby – your little one is only this teeny tiny once and you will never get this time back!

Do I need to bring my own props to our session?I have a huge selection of hand-made outfits in my studio wardrobe, including beautiful headbands and bonnets to coordinate for your baby’s session. I also have a large variety of props to pose your baby in and various backdrops. So there isn’t a need to bring any props to the session. However if there is a special family heirloom item (knitted blankets, etc) that are meaningful to you and your family, we can definitely incorporate those items in your baby’s session.

How much experience do you have photographing newborns and babies?I have photographed newborns for almost 8 years and I have photographed well over 1000 newborns throughout my career. Over the years I have been lucky enough to train with some of the leading newborn photographers in the world and I am continuously improving myself through photography and newborn workshops and courses. I believe there is always room for growth! I also have 3 children, ranging from the age of 2 through to 6 - so I have plenty of hands-on experience handling, soothing and calming newborns.

What better way to celebrate your baby's first birthday than with a playful and messy Cake Smash & Splash session?
As a photographer in Hampshire, I know that baby's first birthdays are a big deal! Birthday cake smash photoshoots are a unique and fun way to celebrate your baby’s first, second or third birthday - what will your baby do with their cake? Eat it, smash it or leave it? Whatever happens, it’s all led by your little one! Once they have finished with their cake, they can enjoy a warm bubble bath in my miniature roll-top bath - always a favourite with both baby and parents!
These sessions are a fun-filled sensory experience for your baby and make for some incredible photos for the whole family to look back on and cherish for years to come.
Simply choose your colour scheme or theme, choose an outfit for them to wear and watch your baby smash up a cake! Surely it doesn't get much better than that!

Could not recommend Yasmin enough! The set up in the studio was perfect and fitted exactly what we had wanted with our theme. And despite a 1 year old who wanted to be EVERYWHERE Yasmin was brilliant with him making us all feel comfortable and relaxed as well as getting plenty of smiles from the star of the shoot. The photos were beautiful and I can’t wait to share with my friends and family who I know will love them just as much as us! If we decide to have another shoot we will 100% be coming back.
