Hello World, meet Baby Luna! This adorable baby girl was one of the best sleepers I have photographed this year! She slept soundly throughout her entire session and posed like an absolute pro. For this session, we focused on using mainly pinks, blues and neutrals - all complimenting her skin and hair very nicely. I really enjoyed photographing this amazing little one!

Lace is one of my favourite textures to use with newborn baby girls. It's beautifully detailed, yet so delicate against baby's skin.
Did you know that newborn sessions are booked in advance based on your due date? I always advise booking after you've had your 20 week scan, to ensure availability as I only book in a set amount of newborns per month. I just adore these brown, earthy tones, anyone that has seen my work will know it's one of my absolute favourite colour schemes to work with. And I just LOVE this adorable blue lace wrap. Anyone who's been to my studio will know that it's stocked with everything you can imagine to suit your personal taste. I have hundreds of items including handmade bonnets, head bands, outfits, wraps, tiny beds and more. My personal prop closet is at your fingertips and included in your session!
I always love including one all-white setup, often I will keep it very simple and photograph baby on one of my large and soft fluffy rugs, almost giving the illusion that baby is floating on a big, white cloud! I often start off with this setup as I love how snug and cosy baby looks all wrapped up. Swaddling will almost always calm and settle baby and more often than not send them to sleep! Which makes the rest of the session a breeze.
Being a Newborn and Baby photographer is truly amazing, I LOVE my job and I sometimes have to pinch myself to believe this is really what I do for a living - there's nothing in the world I'd rather do. Newborn photography is where my heart lies and I genuinely adore each and every baby that comes to visit me in the studio ♡

Are you looking to book a Newborn Session?
Newborn sessions are best booked for when baby is between 1 to 2 weeks old. This is because they are still all curled up, like how they were in the womb and are still very sleepy. That being said, I am more than happy to book in babies for newborn sessions up to 8 weeks of age.
As a mum myself, I can completely appreciate how it might be difficult to get the time to fit in a newborn photoshoot in those first few weeks, on top of everything else you've got going on! I wouldn't discourage you from considering a newborn session if you've missed that golden window to book. "Older" newborns can sometimes be just as easy to pose as a baby that's only a couple of days old - regardless of your newborns age, we can capture some beautiful images for you and your family to cherish for years to come.
If you're interested in booking your newborn session with me, I suggest getting in touch no later than after your 20 week scan. If your baby is already here, you're more than welcome to get in touch - I always leave a few spaces free every month for last minute bookings.
